Culinary-based job training program working with at-risk youth (16-19) involved in RI’s Department of Children Youth and Families. 20 week program focusing on basic culinary skills revolving around processing and canning of locally sourced produce, often b-grade. We have a cafe and catering program that is helped run by the students. We offer co-packing for area farmers. We work with about 40 youth each year over the course of 4 main “programs” (morning and night classes).
