Farming Hope is one of the network’s most innovative members, and has grown significantly since their founding in 2017. We are excited to visit their programmatic, enterprise, and teaching spaces, and learn about their remarkable work and connections, including being designated a Refetorrio within the Food 4 Soul international network.
We will learn from their team and partners how they approach program design, especially for the unique challenges presented by populations of in San Francisco dealing with poverty, substance use, incarceration, and other barriers to employment. We will also hear from other local Bay Area members, and dive into topics relevant to all members, such as recruiting, funding, enterprise growth, and more.
Day 1 will run from early morning through the evening, and include breakfast and lunch from Farming Hope’s social enterprise, and an optional dinner activity.
Day 2 will run from the morning through early afternoon, and include breakfast and lunch.
The Sunday night prior to the event we are also planning on a social event for members to attend.
We are working with the team at Farming Hope to build an engaging and enriching event that will be valuable to all that attend. Be on the lookout for a draft agenda in July, with the final agenda in early September two weeks ahead of the event.
If you work for a member organization, this event is free or otherwise very low cost for you! Please ensure you have the discount code before registering, found here on our website: https://catalystkitchens.org/e…
